CHU (President: Kim, Seong – Hun) was named an ¡°Excellent Certified University¡± in attracting and managing foreign students for consecutive 3 years by Ministry of Education.

CHU was certified by Ministry of Education in the evaluation of attracting and managing competence for foreign students. The certification will bring CHU an advantage of occupying foreign scholarship students invited by government agencies, drawing official financial aids related to international students, participating in study abroad fairs sponsored by the government.

Ministry of Education intends to inform international students of certified universities through official network in and out of Korea and provide authoritative information.

Particularly CHU has nationally biggest number of international students and highest level of competence in attracting and managing them. In 2015 CHU was selected to be the first junior college that had government sponsored international students from Vietnam and Malaysia. Besides, more than 300 Chinese students are coming to study at CHU.

Shin Euigyeong, the director of the International Affairs Center at CHU said, ¡°we can retain our prestige as a global university by being named a certified university, and will keep building CHU¡¯s unique globalizing system which is distinctive from other Korean universities and pursuing various programs to attract more international students.
