holds the 12th international symposium on culture and tourism of Jeju Free International City at Convention Hall B, Halla Convention Center located in the campus on November 6-7.

The invited speakers will present their research and discuss on 3 main topics of first, international free trade, investment, and legislation, secondly tourism and thirdly international management and relations of Jeju Free International City. The speakers are professor Kim, Min-Soo from Department of Northeast Asia International Trade at Incheon University, professor Oh, Yoon from Hanyang University Law School, professor Shim, Chang-Seop from Department of Tourism Management at Gachon University, professor Lee, Kwang-Chol from Hongik University, and professor Paik, Kwon-Ho from Global China Interdisciplinary Study at Yeungnam University.
In Korea-China-Japan Forum, there will be international guest speakers as well, who will discuss about topics related to Jeju Free International City. They are Masakazu Shima, (CEO, Logistique Inc.), Qingmin Zhang (Prof. and Chair, Dept. of Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs, School of International Studies, Peking Univ.), and Dr. Yun-suk Lee (Research Fellow, KRIHS).
As a leading local university of Jeju Free International City, Halla University has been trying to search for ways to serve the local community and to help it to establish its foundation through academic exchange with other institutes, and now it is celebrating the 12th symposium this year. The symposium analyzes various conditions that Jeju needs to be a Free International City, proposes the vision and plans, and promotes Jeju.
