On April 27, CHU hosted a Human Resources Cultivation Project Orientation for Youth, which was supported by the government of Jeju Province. The Project meets the demand for youth-oriented human resources development programs, and aims to address the mismatch between employers and job-seekers, as well as improve students' job skills. The project received 62,000,000 won in funding, which goes to provide courses in Mobile Systems and Device Protection Human Resources, Spas and Medical Care Human Resources, and Hairstylist Human Resources. The courses will run until December 31, and will cover both theory and practical job skills education as demanded by local industry. Over 80% of attendees are expected to gain employment through the program. The orientation sessions was led by Mun Seokhwan, and speeches and presentations were given by professors from each department, officials from the provincial government, and others. 44 CHU students attended the session. Mun Seokhwan, CHU's Academy-Industry Cooperation Organization Dean, said "through this program, we will solve the mismatch between employers and job-seekers, and improve the competitiveness of local industry by cooperative efforts between universities, industry and government."
