On February 8, 2015, Hwang Uyeo, the Minister of Education, held a conference in Dubai for students of CHU working at the Asiana Hotel there. He said "Jeju is fortunate to be sending some of its young students abroad to gain experience working in a foreign country. I'm sure that through this program, great contributions will be made to the development of job skills required to meet international standards." Kim Ran, a graduate of the Department of Tourism Management, said "We are really honored to have such a distinguished visitor come and speak to us today. Thanks to Jeju Province, the national government and CHU, we have the opportunity to fulfil our dreams of working overseas, through the Overseas Employment Program. I hope future students will take full advantage of the opportunities provided through this program." The Overseas Employment Program has been running since 2010, with support from the Ministries of Labor and Education, as well as Jeju Province. Over 250 students have participated in the program, which has been the country's most successful such program for 3 years in a row."
