On January 28, CHU made an academy-industry agreement with the Green Group Green Healthcare Company to produce global human resources. The goal is to train students to be fluent in workplace Chinese in order to contribute to providing globalized human resources. The agreement includes training programs for nursing and healthcare division students as well as tourism division students, aiming at improving their Chinese ability for use in the workplace. The program will include Chinese language programs, major study customized education programs, currently employed individuals' Chinese training, research projects and onsite training programs. Kim Sung Hun, president of CHU, said "this agreement between our World Class College and the globalized Green Group will not only contribute to the production of globalized human resources but also contribute to the development of Jeju society." The Green Group Green Healthcare Company currently is involved in developing the medical and recreation facilities for the Jeju Healthcare Town Project, which is the company's first overseas project. CHU was designated a World Class College in 2011 and trains professionals for the nursing, healthcare and hotel and restaurant management industries.
